The Tri-County Head Start/ Quality Early Childhood Programs are free or low cost for qualifying children and families.
Head Start and Early Head Start families must meet the federal low-income guidelines.
Colorado Preschool Program, offered through school district contracts, has separate eligibility criteria for children at-risk for school success.
Child Care Assistance is available at some centers to provide full/day child care for parents who are working or in an eligible training activity. Contact the Department of Human Services in your county to apply.

We offer:
Early Head Start - Infant/Toddler center-based care and education for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old in La Plata County only.
Head Start - Center-based pre-kindergarten care and education for children ages 3-5 years old.
Colorado Preschool Kindergarten Program - Pre-kindergarten education primarily for 4 year olds.
We provide children with activities that help them grow mentally, emotionally, socially, and physically, including children with special needs/ disabilities.
We provide quality educational experiences to promote literacy and school readiness.
We provide high quality safe, age-appropriate, and well-equipped environments, licensed by the State of Colorado, Division of Child Care. We participate in state-wide Quality Early Childhood Initiatives.
We welcome parent involvement in all activities recognizing that parents are the first and most important teachers of their children. We offer parent education, training, and leadership opportunities.
